minusbella at Edinburgh Castle

June 27th, 2005 by ivan

Fully equipped with a brand-smackin’ new drummer (with a Brit-accent, to boot), that fresh funk of minusbella’s playing a gig at the Edinburgh Castle at 950 Geary in San Francisco this coming Thursday, June 30th from 8:00pm.

DayTse’ll be there cheering the boys on, so come on by and get an elephant of a minusbella autograph or maybe shake Beerman Jon’s hand.

The Art Print

June 20th, 2005 by ivan

Today, while chatting with the Kyle Gibson of kyletype.com, I met his buddy, Ryan Malley of The Art Print, a great site for photographers where you can check out artwork and buy prints out all in one pretty place.

Very slick, and Ryan was telling us how he’d been anal about getting the perfect expert printer, whom he eventually found. Followed ensued some photo-geek chat, and business discussions.

Ah, fellow entrepreneurs around the place just warms my heart.

That cool fellow, Nate, from minusbella sent in their payment with a cute lil’ letter we’ll share with y’all.

minusbella's cute letter

I guess that’s fine, Nate. But you better send in your money on time next month or else we’ll send out the DayTse Secret Service to hunt you down and force you all to eat fermented beans!

IMP in SF Chronicle

March 26th, 2005 by ivan

There was an article in the SF Chronicle yesterday (March 25th) in the “Weekend Preview” column of the Entertainment section:

Depite all the fanatacism about eating locally and seasonally, top chefs from around the nation depend on IMP to procure the finest seafood available from around the world. IMP’s customers include the French Laundry, Restaurant Michael Mina and Chicago’s Charlie Trotter’s.

The company processes orders for 7,000 to 10,000 pounds of seafood a day. The majority is delivered within the Bay Area, with most going to Japanese restaurants and the rest to fine restaurants such as San Francisco’s Fifth Floor and Boulevard and Le Papillon in San Jose.

Groovy to see IMP gettin’ their props, and also to see Glenn’s name in print!
